On Sunday morning we had the continuing Litttle Stint on the island off the end of 10th in Imperial Beach, but it was less cooperative than the previous two mornings appearing finally at around 7:00 a.m., new time, and only staying for a few minutes before all the birds shuffled and we think it flew elsewhere. But in past years it would come and go irregularly as well. Visiting birders Andrew and Vernon Howe report that the Robb field Buff breasted Sandpiper has made it to November and was seen first thing this morning. Dave Povey reports yet another new Lapland Longspur, this one with the pipit flock at the bottom end of Nestor Park or in the adjoining high school ball fields. And we had a continuing Green tailed towhee today at the community gardens on Hollister Avenue in the valley.
