Palm Warbler at Lake Cuyamaca 10/21/2018
Spotted at west side of the lake in reeds. Flew to the west and landed in the grass. Couldn’t find it again. The tail wagging is what got my attention when I first spotted the bird. Link to eBird report with photos. Was only able to get the back, but you can see a faint eye line, yellow vent and a overall drab olive upper parts.
Other seasonal new arrivals, a Wilson’s Snipe, two Northern Harriers and two Western Grebes. Also two early male Canvasbacks.
