Plumbeous and Parula
Yesterday, Wednesday, there was a new Plumbeous Vireo in residential University City, and a Common Goldeneye at Lake Miramar.
Visiting birder Curtis Marantz saw the continuing Northern Parula at Agua Hedionda yesterday morning. The bird was covering lots of territory and was seen both in the melaleucas to the immediate west of the end of the road as well as down the line of sycamores and cottonwoods to the east of the road as far down as the curve in the trail. He said that it really helped to be able to hear it's soft sweet chip call to be able to find it.
